There’s no denying, Norway is a fairly cold place. So when IKEA Norway was gearing up to launch the new iPad version of its catalogue, the home retailer realised that it needed to come up with a new and creative way for its customers to navigate their iPad in freezing cold.
With the help of agency SMFB, IKEA was able to introduce a new product called BERÖRA (which means “to touch”).
BERÖRA is a sewing kit with a special conductive thread. Once purchased, all customers need to do is sew the thread into the index finder of any glove to make it touchscreen compatible.
